The Hub Live

An introduction to The Hub Live

The Hub Live has consistently provided a platform for doers, drivers and trailblazers of climate action where they share, collaborate, and inspire the change that is needed to overcome the hurdles in our path. In 2024, we’re putting inspiring businesses and governments that are driving the momentum front and center. We’re pushing the transition into the mainstream of business and government - convincing hesitant companies and governments to start taking action by inspiring them, and showing what can be achieved.

The Hub Live, on September 23-24, will convene three flagship sessions during which global leaders will delve deep into the action and innovation that are needed to speed up climate action, ignite progress and accelerate action.

In-person attendance is invite-only, but will be livestreamed for all. Virtual registration is available now

Flagship sessions

The flagship sessions and dozens of breakouts, side events and roundtables of The Hub Live will be captured in four streams:

  • The New Industrial Revolution - We are going through a shift that the world has not seen since the start of the 20th century. The shift of the fossil fuel-based society to a green economy, with Artificial Intelligence thrown into the mix as well, will drive a seismic change, not just in corporate energy use, business models and the skills needed, but also in the way we build, live and learn.
  • The Energy and Transport Transition - The global energy system and transportation are among the biggest global emitters, and the corporate sector is playing a key role in the push towards the decarbonization of these interrelated systems. But with every curb in the road new challenges appear, and it’s vital we see them coming so we can prepare for them through a smarter, integrated, net zero transport-energy nexus.
  • Nature, Food Systems and Health - The power of nature to reduce emissions and restore health to our food systems must be scaled to reserve the grim reality of global warming. The nexus between climate and health are inextricably linked, with climate change recognized as the largest public health crisis of our time where success is measured not only by carbon emission reduction but the impact it has on human lives.
  • Leadership and Green Growth - To speed up the transition, we need to finance solutions and technologies at scale – but funders can be hesitant to finance solutions that aren’t scalable yet. To break that deadlock, we’ll be looking at the finance that exists, new models, ways of collaboration between governments and the private sector, and the importance of the transition being fair and just.
