Why book?

This is the place to be if you like gorgeous oceanfront pool views, smiles from every staff member, thoughtful restaurant options, and—most importantly—to sit back and make very few decisions for the duration of your stay.

Set the scene

Tucked deep in a mangrove forest, the property sits on the ocean’s edge nestled amongst the trees and not much else. Everything you need during your stay is accessible right on the property—from dining, entertainment, ocean sports, spa splurges, and lazy pool days. Drawing a vacationing crowd, you’ll find a lot of couples, young families, and the occasional friend group looking to get the perfect tan and delight in the true decadence of an all-inclusive.

The rooms

From ocean views to private swim-up patios, whether you’re looking to sleep two or  six people you’ll find a wide range of accommodation offerings throughout the 715 rooms and suites on property. With a focus on light wood and creams, all rooms are minimalist, yet thoughtfully designed. We stayed in the Deluxe Ocean Front Suite, a generous 860-square-foot option featuring a large living room area with sofa and dining table, a king-sized bed and sitting area, and two bathrooms—all topped off by sweeping ocean front views.

Food and drink

There is no shortage of access to food and drinks, a key staple of any all-inclusive. With 12 unique dining experiences, including five specialty restaurants, a can’t-miss ice cream and churro shop, and of course the classic buffet experience, you can forget the feeling of hunger for the duration of your stay. All food and drinks are included in your booking, though some of the specialty restaurants do offer extra menu options for an additional fee.

If you don’t want to spend an extra dime, you'll be very well attended to by all the standard offerings. Plan ahead for reservations at the specialty restaurants, as walk-ins can be hit or miss depending on the night. Auma, the dark and moody steakhouse restaurant, is set around a beautiful open-fire kitchen—the grilled vegetable plate was an unexpected delight, full of flavor and textures that make this a steakhouse for vegetarians and carnivores alike. If you find yourself back in your room after a long day, warm and cozy in your pajamas with a tinge of sunburn, and your tummy starts grumbling, you can plunder your in-room mini bar (which is restocked daily) or order room service, all at no additional cost.

The spa

While Hilton Cancun doesn’t have their own spa directly onsite, all guests have access to the beautiful spa at the Waldorf Astoria right next door. Situated in a stunning garden oasis, it features eight indoor and 13 outdoor treatment rooms, all using locally sourced oils and fresh herbs from the onsite garden. You can book a plethora of body and skin treatments and salon indulgences, but be sure to schedule extra time simply to enjoy the spa’s facilities—an incredible outdoor pool and lounge area that you’ll never want to leave.

The neighborhood/area

As mentioned, the property is fairly isolated. Which, if you’re looking to take full advantage of an all-inclusive, is frankly ideal. However, if you’re itching to leave the property and spend a day in nearby Cancun, you’ll need to plan ahead for transportation as walking into town is not an option but there is a tour company right onsite to help with any excursion needs.

The service

Service is relaxed and friendly. The staff exuded positivity and was truly never without a smile.  It’s also worth noting that all staff I interacted with were bilingual and happy to converse in Spanish or English, depending on your preference.

For families

Hilton prides itself on its family friendliness, whether you're traveling with a young child or a teen. Their complimentary Kid’s Club is available for kids 4-12 and offers a colorful and bright space where kids can craft, lounge on bean bags, try their luck at the gaming stations, and even practice their Spanish. Just outside of the Kid’s Club you’ll find the property’s dedicated family splash playground, which is a water wonderland featuring slides, water toys, and beach games. If you have an older child, the property offers a dedicated TeensZone space for ages 13-17 where teens have a relaxed area to watch TV, play video and board games, and compete at the ping pong tables, all available on a come and go as you wish basis.

Eco effort

All rooms come with recycled glass bottles of complimentary water that the property cleans and repurposes. Additionally, the property has its own dedicated water plant run by a specialized supplier as a sustainable irrigation system throughout the property.

Accessibility

Hilton Cancun prides itself on being ADA compliant, with designated rooms that have roll-in showers and braille signage. Throughout the property, there are also key areas dedicated to accessibility including an accessible concierge desk, exercise facilities, dining, parking, and more.
