25 sales to shop instead of Amazon Prime Day 2024

Hunting for bargains? As the clocks spring back and the evenings get longer, the discount diggers thrive, and boy do we have a good sale incoming for those that pay attention to that sort of thing. Amazon Prime Day 2024 is here to save you heaps of cash on your must-have items, but if we're being honest, Amazon isn't the ultimate place to shop. There are plenty of alternative retailers who are just as keen to offer up some wallet-busting discounts if you ask nicely. While Jeff Bezos and his ilk are busy with the Kindles and Ring doorbells, we've got our eye on several other shopping alternatives that are well worth investigating, should you be keen to spend, but you're picky with your cash.

It's not just Amazon that has the monopoly on price-crashed goods, and most things you can find in that particular sale are just as cheap – or possibly even cheaper – elsewhere. From top-tier electric toothbrushes and ache-relieving mattresses to the latest and greatest fashion items, we've spotted some killer offers and have laid them out in a complete money-saving guide below. Wallets at the ready…

But… what is Amazon Prime Day 2024?

Hold on, before we get stuck into the other places you can spend your money, how about we explain what Amazon's sale actually is? Amazon Prime Day is the hotly anticipated summer sales event that sees plenty of the online giant's best-selling products massively reduced for 24 hours only.

That said, not everyone loves shopping with Amazon, so if you're still itching for a deal and simply cannot wait until Black Friday comes rolling around, then check out our expertly crafted guide to the best alternative sales we've seen online.

When is Amazon Prime Day 2024?

It's official: the finalised date for Amazon Prime Day is 16th July, with an additional day of discounts on the 17th. That said, the alternative sales that we've highlighted in this piece are already well underway, awaiting your perusal…

How did we choose which sales to cover?

Well, we've been doing this for a long time. Between the huge Prime Day repertoire of our Senior Commerce Writer Owen Gough and the expertise of all our heads of Interiors, Menswear and Gifting, we've picked out all our (and our readers') favourite spots to shop and exactly what it is they have to offer right now. The mid-season sales are going hard, and it's time that we put our knowledge to good use. Scroll on for the best Amazon Prime Day alternative sales in 2024…
