“Capital Mark Granite and Cabinets recently completed a kitchen renovation for us and I couldn't be happier with the results. I got quotes from a wide variety of companies and was very disappointed when so many of them came back significantly over our stated budget. I felt as if some of the companies recognized what this project meant to me and preyed upon my dream in an attempt to increase the budget. Kyle Zimmerman (owner of Capital Mark Granite and Cabinets) didn't play any of those silly games. He quickly understood my vision and respected our budget and timeline. I could tell he was different from the others the first time I met him - his honesty and integrity were apparent in everything he said and did. I'd been dreaming of a fabulous French Country Kitchen for many years and I thought I knew exactly what I wanted. Kyle's knowledge, experience and creativity allowed him to come up with some remarkable ideas and suggestions that I'd never even thought of. His input was instrumental in making my dream kitchen even better than I could have hoped. Kyle was intricately involved in every step of the process and he was great at communicating and keeping me up to date. He always seemed to know just what to say to keep me calm and on track as things progressed. As good as Kyle is, he can't do it all by himself. He has obviously taken great care to assemble a group of extraordinary trades people/companies. Everyone working in our home was friendly, professional, hardworking and, quite obviously, among the best in their chosen profession. It's easy to be wonderful when everything is going smoothly, but the real test is how people handle a situation when everything doesn't go exactly as planned. We didn't encounter any major problems, but the few minor glitches we had were handled flawlessly. Kyle's quiet confidence and calm demeanor was really reassuring. When I changed my mind at the last minute on some decorative posts, he carefully explained the additional costs and then he calmly made it happen. I thought he might get annoyed at the last minute change, but his friendly smile never wavered. When I realized I'd taken on too many little projects on my own (in an attempt to save money), he instantly came to my rescue and called people in to finish the work I couldn't do. Overall, I am completely happy with my new kitchen and extremely grateful to Kyle and his team for making my dream come true! I wholeheartedly, and without reservation, recommend Capital Mark for any renovation project you may be considering. I guarantee you will not be disappointed!”

“Talavera refinished a cabinet for me, 'remaking' it from an old, typically-found brown buffet, to a stunning distressed, off white cabinet that hints at the old brown wood beneath. With attention to keeping the vintage look and feel of the cabinet in place, they reinforced shelves only where needed, and straightened hardware just enough to make the doors solidly functional. The result is beautiful, and the buffet is an eye catcher in my kitchen. Talavera also carried the distressed idea up to my staircase landing by building a bookcase in their woodshop. They kept the comfortable feel of my home in mind when designing a piece that would bring warmth to the landing without overpowering the staircase or looking out of place. Of course it was distressed in a beautiful old-world green. Larry and his crew asked a lot of questions, and made a lot of suggestions, before, during, and after each of my above-mentioned projects to ensure that I loved what came into my home. The Progress Pictures meant a lot to me, and I appreciate that Larry worked with me to stay within my budget and pulled no 'surprise' upcharges. Though I am a person that always wants it 'yesterday', Talavera stayed right on the estimated time-to-complete, and even delivered a little early. Worked for me, and they will be hired again. (Last year they did a beautiful covered patio for my patio home, but that's another post for their remodeling abilities!).”

“Dan from Nu Wavz Homes builds custom homes, but he also does remodels and other various things around the home. We hired Dan to build us a custom "in wall" entertainment center where there was a big hole. What an amazing design and job he did. He listened to us, he was very quick and clean with his work and his workers listened to me and my wife and did EXACTLY what we wanted. He also converted a wine rack into a plate rack for us. We don't drink any wine so it wasn't needed. You would never know that it didn't come built in like that. I will hire Dan again hands down. If you are looking for a custom home builder, or someone to just do remodels around the house - HIRE DAN!”

He then turned his attention to the furniture that would transform the house into a home. His instincts on which color combinations and style of furniture, rugs, and lighting would work best together were unerringly correct. He did a wonderful job and the work he did for us won three awards in a design competition. We could not have been happier with Ernesto.”

“I hired Luxe Showroom Ltd. for two sequential projects: a kitchen remodel and bathroom renovation. I can't say enough about how accomodating they were during both projects. If there was a need for a change or modification they made it happen. Nothing was too much trouble. The kitchen renovation included replacement of all cabinetry, granite countertops, sink, backsplash, and some appliances and electrical work. They came up with a way to creatively re-use some of the existing cabinets and counters as a craft/work bench in the basement, which required some challenging carpentry work. The bathroom renovation was a complete rip out and reinstall. The designer and craftsmen worked with my 16 year old daughter to come up with a modern yet functional design, with totally custom tilework and innovative lighting. They were totally flexible in allowing us to do as much or as little of the sourcing and work as we wanted. Any minor glitches were dealt with promptly and effectively and without controversy.Budget estimates were met, and adjusted fairly if changes were significant. Overall, I would recommend them in a heartbeat to anyone looking for professional, reliable and creative design and construction services.”
