How do they want you to sell the job opportunity to the candidates? Who would be the business evangelist to help you screen and excite the right candidates? The more you understand their requirements, the better you can match candidates to their needs and deliver against their ask.

For me, integrity is something that is lacking in the recruitment industry. Be honest with people! If you are having struggles finding the right people in the time frame, talk about. Discuss the challenges with the hiring team and navigate a solution together. Likewise, don't be afraid to give candidates honest feedback if they will not be moving forward in an interview process. We are all human and ultimately honesty breeds trust and respect in the long term.

Pick up the phone. Ask the client how the candidate has settled in, do the same with the candidate, aim for doing this at the end of the first week and the first month. You may also discover at the month end call the client gives you additional roles as a result.
