Here's how you can enhance your confidence while presenting to a large audience.

Over the years, I have always gone unprepared n spoken extempore on all platforms. It’s only possible if u keep reading n learning for years about your domain . However, In my last Ted in US I decided to built my thoughts n rehearsed 15min speech multiple times . I realised if u have rehearse it 100% , u screw up but if u can structure ur thoughts n framework , it does well !

Preparation Practice your presentation multiple times, focusing on pacing, tone, and emphasis. Familiarity can help build confidence. Know your audience Understanding your audience's expectations, interests, and backgrounds can help you tailor your presentation to their needs. Body language Maintain eye contact, stand with your shoulders straight and chin up, and avoid fidgeting. You can also try power poses. Delivery Speak slowly and clearly, and avoid using filler words like "um" or "uh". Vary the volume, pitch, and speed of your voice. Engagement Ask questions, tell stories, and use humor to engage your audience. You can also invite feedback.

Confident means give deep thought to your messages. Those messages come from knowing who you are and what you believe is the right course. Say what you believe. Being open and risk vulnerability to share ourselves with listeners. Telling personal stories. As leader, I don’t just read what is in a sheet of paper, make sure you are “talking points” reflect your own views and in your own voice.

One of the most important steps to giving a confident presentation is to practice it aloud. You become more comfortable with the speech material via rehearsal, which lowers nervousness and increases fluency. You may refine your body language and get rid of distracting behaviors by watching yourself in the mirror or on film, which will help you become more self-aware. This approach prepares you to present well, so you look confident and collected in front of any group of people.

Practice, practice, practice. Practice makes progress. Without practicing, you’re preparing to fail. Why would you purposely fail? Make the commitment and set a time to practice. The more you do so, the more confident and coherent you will when delivering.

Practice Regularly: Rehearse your presentation multiple times to become familiar with the material. Practice in front of a mirror, record yourself, or present to friends or family.

I totally agree with practicng aloud. It works perfectly for most people. It creates a solid , easy-to-remember outlines for the presenter and it helps to boost confidence

Manifesting can help one to prepare self and give that confidence. Visualization and knowing the surroundings can help one to hold the nerve and make the start. You already know who your audience is since you have already visualized. Remember to look at the audience while visualizing, it helps to connect and feel that you already know them.

Engagement is key! Involve the audience early. Start out by creating an interaction with them right out of the gate. Tell them what you are there to give them, and then prove it. Remember it isn’t about you! It’s all about how you are there to serve the audience.

When I do sessions, I try getting down the stage and walk among the audience, ask a few questions, keep them on feet, bring in some humor and have small conversations. Ask Questions and make them raise hands, keep them connected, engaged and interested. Remember they are there to listen to you, have expectations and hopes - make the best of the situation and keep them involved. At the end of the program, they will walk up to admire the way the event went by. Know your audience, segment them and stay prepared

Throw in a question , a joke and best of all truth and facts. You will see when you do so it will bring in attention of the ones seeking something from your presentation.

Engage with the Audience: Make eye contact, smile, and interact with the audience. This can make you feel more connected and less nervous.

One thing I found helpful is to make the presentation as engaging and interactive as much as possible. Interact with them. Ask questions from time to time and embrace humor.

Un peu d'humour peut adoucir certains sujets arides, attention selon le public. Les silences permettent à votre public de réfléchir. Ne vous précipitez pas et ne débordez pas. Préparez bien votre intervention et gérez votre temps. Prévoyez du temps pour les questions à la fin. Résumez vos points clés et exposez votre conviction.

Manage Nervousness: Use deep breathing techniques or mindfulness exercises to calm your nerves before and during the presentation.

The easiest way I overcame my nerves what when I took a hard look in the mirror and remembered it wasn’t about me. It wasn’t about how I look, my reputation, it was solely about the audience and how I was going to serve them. Once I remembered that I was there to provide them with new knowledge, inspiration and encouragement, my nerves subsided. It is healthy to have a little bit of nervousness, it keeps you humble.

If you feel anxious or like you're stuck in fight/flight, get the body moving and shake it out. Side stage, in a bathroom stall, wherever you can. Then three deep belly breaths to feel grounded!
