Some things that have helped my clients is Google Task, adding a calendar event, regular journaling on their progress, adding due dates to tasks.

For example, one of my clients really wanted to spend time learning something new, but she was constantly overwhelmed with her commitment - both at work and in her personal life. During our session, I mentioned that all the things she listed she was doing that day were about helping others (which is great), but when will she have some time for herself? This question really helped her to see that she was not leaving time for herself. Gaining insight into the core issue (not having enough time for herself), helped her to see what changes she needed to make.
