Here’s something I wish someone would have told me when I was a design student — you will end up getting client feedback which isn’t very articulate. And you’ll think “wow that’s a strange client.” And then you’ll face such clients again, a very high number of times — even more so if you’re the employee within an organisation that lacks design maturity. If you can make it a habit to dig deeper and make and effort to figure out what they mean it will make a big impact to your output, your process and most importantly — your mood while trying to dish out your best chops :)

Pick your Battles with the client, in the end, it's their product and their vision. You pick which feature or action is worth fighting for and how much. The things that affect the user or hinder their course of action are the topics worth holding your ground on and making a case for.

The feedback we get from clients also involve the nature, mood and personality of the person. Sometimes they are very harsh , sometimes they are really polite and sometimes they are frustrated. You have to put your ego aside be fully professional and concentrate on what they really want from you. Your emotional intelligence should be very strong when you are taking criticism or healthy feedback from the client. Just dig deep and counter less and always try to satisfy your client.
