Cold calling is the best way to get a conversation going. Remember not to get beat down and take the "meanies" personally. They don't know you! Just have a good confident positive tone, a goal in mind, and book that meeting. Objections: I'm in a meeting: Dang okay don't wanna hold you up but can I just quick tell you why I called so I can know if I should call you back or not? How'd you get my Cell Phone Number? I'm sorry I wasn't really sure where this one went! I looked it up on (insert tool). Can I tell you why I'm so keen to get in touch with you it'll be super quick I promise.

Cold calling helps your connect with prospects with a potential of buying or discovering your produce and offering. State the purpose of your call. Ask a question to qualify the prospect. Give a brief overview of your product or service. Ask for the next step.

Tools, attitude, CRM, and Phone are Fantastic but guess what. If you do not see Value, believe in what your are offering and the TEAM you are on, preparation does nothing.

My suggestions: 1. Research your potential customers and learn about their needs and preferences. 2. Follow them on LinkedIn and interact with their posts or activities. Show your interest and appreciation for their work. 3. If you find something in common, such as a shared hobby or passion, send them a direct message and ask for their opinion. Start a friendly conversation and build rapport.

Personalization is super important to stick out from the crowd. Use Linkedin for both the prospect and the company to tailor your outreach. I would advise not overdoing this, as timing for the prospect is almost just as important as the personalization you reach out with. Too much research on any 1 prospect can quickly be worth nothing, so do enough research to set yourself apart, but not so much that a "no" can throw your day off.

4. Invite them to a phone call and express your desire to learn more about them and their challenges. Don't try to sell anything at this stage, just listen and empathize. 5. Once you have established trust and credibility, call them again and offer your solution or product that can address their pain points. Explain how it can benefit them and why they should choose you over others. 6. There is a high chance that they will agree to move forward with the deal because of the relationship that you have developed earlier.

I suggest keeping 1-3 openers in memory that you repeat for every cold call. Find what works and stick with it. You just want them to not hang up and give you the floor for 30 seconds. Try this - "Hey *name*, I know I am catching you out of the blue here - Can I have a minute to tell you why I am reaching out, and you can then tell me if it sounds interesting or not?"

One thing I've found helpful is using a written out script to get past the nerves of speaking with a prospect. After numerous time of reading out a written script you can begin to implement changes depending on the reception to it on the phone. As well as areas of the script that sound awkward or drawn out can be tweaked.

At start, yes script and pitch in mirror. You will also want to plaster wall with what you offer, why they shoud buy it , info needed to qualify and a staple pitch for all. Word or Google Docs works too just have it ready so while speaking you can articulate. As you progress in months, you should have an ever growing tool box. You should have pitches specific to titles and when you find a sponsor ask a peer what motivates Bob or Tiffany then go get sponsor. Oh and dont forget the 7 second pitch. One day, a leader will say they had enough you got 10 seconds. Do you have a 7 second pitch yet?

Research first about the prospect/s and the company. Be creative and sometimes be imaginative during cold calling and follow up thru LinkedIn.
