As corporate recruiters serve as the front face of the company, they always act as two-way salespeople, shaping the company's brand image in the market and aiding in the identification of future brand ambassadors. To keep them motivated & engaged, we can offer ownership in assigned areas, a positive work environment, IT/automated infrastructure enabling them to work anytime, anywhere, the opportunity to enjoy their work as part of their daily lives. Additionally, organizing continuous process improvement programs, offering personalized assignments, providing visibility & recognition, & offering learning opportunities for growth across various areas can be the keys, as recruiters possess deep knowledge of both the business & its people.

Good recruiters are difficult to find and keep. In our organization we try to: -keep them challenged by contributing to interesting recruitment projects -offer training to improve their skills and personal development -implicate them in the internal mobility projects in order to propose possible career moves to our employees - Showcase their performance by data

Potentially controversial opinion, but how about paying them well and not expecting them to do the job of two full-time employees. That should be a good start.

To keep them engaged. - Involve them in decision making and strategizing. - Make sure their business acumen is on point, if not provide essential training. To keep them motivated. - Show them the larger picture of how their role impact the organisation. - Reward and recognise their efforts in monetary and non monetary ways.

Our recruiting team is a key partner. We lean into this by: 1. Sharing the business strategy - where we’re going for the next 12-24 months and get them invested in the short and long term vision. 2. Networking - we invite them to team events, socials, etc... which earns trust across our groups. 3. Provide public recognition via callouts, org.-wide emails, and in all-hands. We couldn't innovate on behalf our Customers without recruiting - they're awesome!

Treat them with respect and support them when internal clients or outside partners are uncooperative or critical. Too often TA is unappreciated and treated offhandedly. When hiring managers are uncooperative or fail to follow the process it's unreasonable and unfair to blame the TA team.

Engage with your recruiter and brief them properly about the expectations for the role. This is more a functional requirement but a technical prerequisite. Make them feel valuable to the business and not consider them as a service function. A company can only be as good as the people that are recruited and the recruiter has considerable value.

In addition to software, databases and platforms, automation and AI are having an increasing impact on optimizing performance, freeing up time to focus on more strategic aspects of recruitment. A lot of bandwidth of corporate recruiters gets choked in various process-related activities. I understand organizational structure does not give freedom to get away from such mundane tasks hence recruiters have to live with it. Exactly sometime due to the volume and CV submission Target a good sourcer also gives up on looking for innovative channels of sourcing like GitHub / stackover flow etc as these are time consuming channels but gives quality profiles.Delegation of operational work and giving a realistic Target will definitely lead to quality work rather than only bumping the CVs to business

I make my calendar available to my entire team. I encourage they schedule time with me. I don't force it, but regularly encourage it. One team member in particular has an ongoing weekly call scheduled with me. That is usually one of my most productive calls of the week plus it allows me to better understand that person, their skillset, needs, experience, etc. If I help my people, they help me generally. If its mutually beneficial, its usually better and more productive. It's a win-win.

To support development of my team I have been offering cross-training to empower recruiters to expand their professional horizons . some examples: Candidate Assessment and Selection methods, including Boolean search strings, social media sourcing and talent mapping to identify/attract top talent, behavioral interviewing techniques, competency-based assessments, and job simulation exercises to be able evaluate candidates objectively Offer training on employer branding strategies, content creation, social media, and candidate engagement tactics to effectively promote the employer brand. Train them on recruitment analytics tools, data analysis techniques, and reporting best practices to measure the effectiveness of sourcing channels..

Sometimes recruiting in the corporate/TA role can be a bit slow if the company is down on the numbers of available jobs they need recruiting support for. Allow your Talent Acquisition team to develop skills in other areas internally within the company where they may have interest. Whether it be a HR function, leadership, marketing, etc., find out that interests them and support their professional development within another area that will allow them to continue to grow while their job requisition volume is slow.

The answer is an amalgamation of variables but the base layer has to be a purpose. An engaged team matters. A winning desire driven through a culture of accountability, ownership, empowerment and a fixation on results delivered the right way. My mind lingers here on authenticity.

In India many corporate recruiters start off with talent hiring and many of them are unable to move to generalist hr roles. Unless the corporate recruiter wants to continue in the same role, it would be a great retention strategy for the organisations to either help them with skillsets through formal coaching programs or part time MBA’s or mentor and coach them for HR generalist roles.

Assign recruiters to challenging and meaningful projects that align with their interests and career aspirations. Give them opportunities to take on leadership roles, lead initiatives, or work on cross-functional teams.
