Get involved with the ISA-112 SCADA Systems standard committee at the International Society of Automation (ISA). We’ve needed a SCADA Standard for a long time, and the ISA Standards & Practices (S&P) Board approved the new committee in the fall of 2016. This very active committee has already authored a very useful SCADA Lifecycle diagram that is being utilized by companies around the world. Go to ISA.org, find the standards committees and sign up as an information member for ISA-112. You’ll start receiving emails of the activities on the committee. You can just read, get informed, and stay in the wings. Or…. and I’ll bet you do, you’ll start getting into it and start submitting comments on the drafts during the commenting periods.
