I think it's important also to understand that the investment profile for the newest of the new and for iterations on the existing are different. Both can work - and really well - but there are pools of capital that, through risk appetite, diversification, time horizon, etc. are more open to the extreme risk of breakthrough innovation, and others that are really good at scaling iterations of existing tech. It's interesting to consider this in various sectors too. In sustainability, for example, we've invested in both very new material chemistries, and also in basic financing for energy efficiency. Same in healthcare - cutting edge therapeutics and better health payment tech. It's about good portfolio and risk construction!
