In order to get through to students, you have to build rapport - making students feel safe, heard, and valued area essential! Avoid specific questions, and encourage open ended questions to allow students to story tell, and enable them them to share in confidence! Be aware of diving too deep with topics that might be stressful, especially around the holidays - finals, internships, recruiting, etc. Finally, be sure to instill confidence by celebrating their positives and wins!

Align a common goal is important to build relationship. Both parents and Stakeholders can be involved in events and projects and even volunteer opportunities. Add in personalise touched will be useful when involving them. When recognising not just the students' but also the parents/ stakeholders' strengths and needs, they would view better appreciated as they can value add accordingly. Example, if a parent is an author of book, he can be invited as a guest speaker to share more with students
