A brand guide ensures the tone of voice, colors, images and call to actions align with both the brand values and the audience's feelings. The overall focus here is creating a user experience which is best measured by the page visitor's feelings when visiting the page, when reading text/viewing a video and the ease of receiving the message overall. Most of all, the best way to make a landing page effective is to make sure the visitor is already feeling trusting towards you and vulnerable before reading the content!

So the context of the landing page should also match the entire Journey's intention. I think it's really important to also know your audience (as in who is coming to your page) versus knowing "about" your audience. Treat your audience as individual people visiting - I mean they are visitors! So we should treat them as guests in our home and know them personally. Yes, with high volume traffic this can be a challenge, but it isn't impossible! It's all about the framework you set up that leads visitors to your landing pages in the first place.

Oy, a catchy headline, yes. But please know that it should be created with intention! The headline will be determined by the objective of the page, who you are speaking to and what experience you want to cultivate for the visitor. Again, this all comes back to branding!

Catchy headlines are only effective if you’ve already reached critical mass. They work if you have an audience. If you’re just starting out, forget writing a catchy headline. Explain very clearly what your product or offering can do for your reader. Explain how it’ll improve their lives— make them better people. This is what people want. Add your own style and grace, but be clear about your offering or product.

Okay, AI - I see you. YES! Don't speak over people's heads, don't try to sound smart - make sure you're on the level of the page visitor and that nothing can be lost in translation. This is where simple is better!

In my experience, the biggest mistake we can make when creating CTAs, landing pages or anything for business is piece mealing it - meaning we are treating a CTA or anything else as a separate piece of property from our framework in branding, marketing or sales. While the advice above is correct, it doesn't share the whole picture which is the best CTA will come after the work is done for branding, sales and marketing. I recommend focusing on the big picture first and then focusing on the small details so that the small details tie into the layers that come before and after the CTA. It's not just about making something "look good" or "sound good".

I do agree with all of this. This is a great time to use A/B Testing and post a different image or video with the landing page. For example, launching the landing page on 2 different social media platforms so you can see the results from both versions simultaneously. And for anyone who may not know, analyzing the results means understanding what the information is telling you to do differently. Use the results as a guide to pivot.

I had mentioned it previously, but a crucial element to consider is the framework that exists before the landing page. The framework is the strategy and procedures that the business is built on without the landing page. If this is strong, the landing page will do well. But often when people think they have a problem with just one element of business - for example, a landing page - it is most likely tied back to a poor branding, marketing or sales operation. I guess what I'm saying is that it's important to set up other components of the business in a way that can support the results you want from the landing page.
