I think color coded visual labels can be seen from afar, identified easily, and contribute to an overall organization protocol. Also by using color coordination you can have an infinite set of combinations for even deeper organization. Lights could be blue, props could be yellow, and lights and props for portraits could be green for example. The visual labels can also be described so that another person can fetch something if needed.
