I really agree with the issue of first, running a load analysis. The categorisation of loads into essential, non-essntial and optional loads helps in determining the load capacity that needs what kind of backup configuration and for how long. This helps in the choice of inverters sizes, battery type, sizes and configuration numbers in parallel and numbers in series).

Electric power is an essential service and all lines should be underground in direct burial or in service tunnels. Maintenance and outage control under this arrangement would be minimised. Power losses in this distribution and transmission system is also minimised.
