In perhaps a more unconventional way to be paid better rates for your creative services is to create tight relationships with the marketers strategising the delivery of your designs. ROI can somewhat be quantified if conversions are high and their marketing team recognise (and give equal credit to) the design work you have supplied which helped achieve these great KPIs. Clients would prefer 'dollar figure' reports. Team up with the right people in the business and you'll be justified in the direct profits made.
