Después, establecimos planes de entrega, estándares de calidad, precios y términos de pagos mínimos requeridos. Estructuramos indicadores de desempeño y designamos responsables para la medición de estos puntos. Seleccionamos proveedores que podían satisfacer las necesidades identificadas en la magnitud requerida. Realizamos un seguimiento y evaluación de los proveedores. retroalimentamos a los proveedores y acordamos puntos de mejora.

The sourcing strategy's link to business strategy and goals are very often overlooked or simplified too much, this should be the core of a good sourcing framework. Very often it is decided to source something without really taking the time to adress what business need or problem the sourcing project shall solve or improve, and from there quantify at a high level what objectives/goals the project shall meet, and how this is measured.

Use design thinking- where the needs, requirements are collected from different stakeholders/users. Once the requirements are identified list down the must haves. Once the must haves are determined; plan a sourcing strategy. Also, looking at past experiences/ internal best practices helps to arrive at a suitable sourcing strategy.

Engage with key stakeholders from procurement, finance, operations, and relevant departments to define the overarching goals of the framework. Utilize expertise to craft a solid foundation that aligns seamlessly with organizational objectives. For my sourcing strategy is one thing. But i try to add a couple steps before that. It is Spend analysis. Market analysis. User analysis. Supplier analysis. Then you can go to Sourcing Strategy or you can say in other words Category Management Strategy.

Es muy importante que la alta dirección de la empresa esté involucrada en esta decisión. Tomar cambios de rumbo como por ejemplo, pasar a importar en lugar de comprar localmente, son decisiones que no pueden ser tomadas a la ligera.
