How can you improve your code quality and standards with linters and formatters?

Linters analyse your code and look for mistakes and issues in your code. It's a major tool that a developer will need during coding web applications For example, you don't want to have a naming for a variable twice thanks to linters you will notice the issue without running your code in browser and that saves lots of time.

As a developer readability becomes paramount since more often than not you’d spend more time reading or revisiting your own code than actually coding. In such situations, it’s easier to sift through well formatted code rather than trying to figure out a pair of opening and closing braces. Linters also play a vital role in enforcing certain industry practices as well your own custom formatting rules if any.

Linters are part of static tests in general. We can use them to ensure that a set of important best practices and coding rules are enforced in the codebase for example react hook rules, react jsx rules, react query rules, tailwind css rules, etc. This is the first part of testing pyramid essentials in my opinion.

A good code isn't one the computer can read. A good code is one, human can read and understand. With linters and formatters... I shouldn't repeat myself but you get the idea

Linters and formatters are good to use. But for linters I would say some linters are way stricter like ‘Eslint’, It won’t even allow you the trailing white spaces.
