Constant travel brought forth challenges, emphasizing the need for a contingency-focused mindset. Leaders empower themselves by prioritizing backups over rigid plans—keeping sight of the big picture and not sweating the small stuff. Embracing chaos healthily, I adhered to routines like diet and exercise, maintaining social connections. Crucially, adaptability shone in addressing team conflicts. Simultaneously, I focused on developing immediate solutions and long-term strategies, fostering positive team dynamics even in my absence.

Like my dad says, marriages are easier when there are minimal changes pre-& post marriage. So while traveling, if you can maintain the same set of habits without too much change, that might lead to a happy transition :) So, 1) Cook at home as much as you can 2) Dedicated space for work or hit a co-working space 3) Go get some sunlight in the morning 4) Join some meetup groups/pub hopping scene. You need to make some friends locally. 5) Get introduced to some folks through some common friends. Nothing like meeting some new people. 6) Hit the local gym/fitness class. 7) Switch off over the weekends and stay in touch with your family/friends. And obviously leave some room for some fun!

My advice here is enjoy yourself and have some fun! When you travel a lot for business you can get a bit miserable if you're not careful. Prepare to have fun, look for places and events to explore in advance, be curious and enjoy the ride!

Es sollte auch immer für das richtige Umfeld gesorgt werden. Die einen arbeiten vielleicht in einem Kaffee mit Notebook am effektivsten. Andere brauchen eine ruhige Umgebung wie z.B. ein Co-Working Space oder ein ruhiges Airbnb. Trotz Reisen, sollte nicht die eigene Produktivität und Erholung geopfert werden. Sondern die Balance darf ganz neu entdeckt werden. Man sollte auch berücksichtigen, dass vielleicht nicht alle Arten von Arbeiten zu einem passen, wenn man am Reisen ist. Bei mir selbst, hatte Reisen beispielsweise eine positive Auswirkung auf kreative Arbeiten, wie z.B. Schreiben und Konzipieren. Andere Arbeiten haben während dieser Zeit eher etwas gelitten.
