How can you use videos to attract new clients as a consultant?

So, when evaluating the success of videos, don't limit your assessment to a single metric. With a little forward thinking, videos can achieve so much more with no extra work needed.

Video also allows people to understand your personality and your values. Instead of it looking like they are working with a large company, it makes things look more personalized.

What types of videos to create is a HUGE question, there are so many, including: Educational, Testimonial, Paid Ads, Organic Ads, And a gajillion more. A more productive question to ask is, 'What goals am I trying to achieve?' followed by, 'Which types of videos achieve that goal the best?

Also give importance to your hooks. Hooks (first few seconds) are crucial in video creation because they can pique curiosity and motivate viewers to watch the entire video to get answers or see the outcome. This will make your video stand out and capture attention quickly.

If you're looking to create videos yourself, the best advice I can offer is to study what has been successful in the past. Creativity, especially the kind that leads to profitable work, starts from a foundation of success. As professionals, we don't isolate ourselves in a dark room, hoping to conjure up something extraordinary out of thin air. Instead, we research what works and then strive to do it even better.

Measuring how well a video works can be tricky. It's good to check if your video is helping your marketing, but don't just stick to one way of measuring success. For example, there are two types of marketing: brand marketing and performance marketing. Brand marketing is about making people like and trust your brand, which can help you sell more or charge higher prices. Performance marketing is all about clear results, like getting 100 clicks on your website from a video. Many business owners focus only on the numbers and stop doing brand marketing. Then, six months later, they wonder why their profits have gone down despite focusing on the marketing where results are measured. You can never measure a customers full journey.

When creating video content - there's two question we've asked ourselves and clients that has helped us hit almost 100% objective hit rate is: 1 - what are people thinking/feeling before watching our video. 2 - What do we want people to think/feel after watching the video. It's simple but it helps individual get clear on why we are doing this, and also more importantly, it gets teams aligned with the mission.
