How do you design competency-based assessments for remote teams?

I prefer to use automated competency-based assessments; this is an easy, noninvasive way to diagnose the skills needed for people working remotely, such as collaboration, teamwork, time management, and self-learning. First, I understand the job scope and responsibilities, then design the competencies needed, rank them, and apply the tool to the employee. It usually takes 30 minutes to do this. My favourite tool is Innermetrix, which has straightforward and accurate reports. I combine this with the human part with the evaluation through interviews or coaching. It is important always to provide feedback to employees and create personal development plans 🤩

projects have deliverables, clearly defining those deliverables, allows members to strive for those benchmarks. Alternatively, missing those benchmarks should not show up on the deliverable date. Contributing project members need to understand & clarify the deliverable. If unable to accomplish, notification & alternations need to be understood before the due date.

missing a deliverable should include consequences. Project teams assessment depends on completition of a task. Not meeting that task creates the potential that other teams will, also, miss. thus, dependence on other is critical to overall success
