Defining your goals is necessary, and it is critical to align them to your company's top goals for the fiscal year. Ensure that your partnership program's internal goals and metrics ladder into core priorities for your company. It's even better if they are complementary to goals and metrics of your sister organizations like sales and marketing. For example, if expanding into the enterprise segment is a core priority for your company then ensure that your partner program is measured on your impact to this goal (for example, number of enterprise customer warm introductions from partners, number of enterprise customer contacts generated through joint partner marketing etc.). This ensures that your success is top of mind to other stakeholders.
