Because the US is a more efficient market with significant presence of private equity buyers, deals tend to be more conducive to wider auction processes. The speed and probability of transacting tends to be much greater in the former. I also find that culturally US negotiations and processes tend to be much more transactional relative to more relational negotiations outside of the country.
