As a consultant, it is crucial to understand a retail client’s business with their business, unique needs, customers, and market dynamics. Therefore, I would do the following: 1. Engaging stakeholders to gather insights about challenges & customer preferences 2. Mapping out business flow to identify pains & potential gains 3. Conducting market analysis for industry trends and competitor positioning to inform strategies 4. Conducting surveys or running focus groups for direct feedback from customers to refine offerings 5. Analysing business and customer data to see behaviour patterns. In my view, I would first understand & visualise current pains, and then offer tailored solutions that enhance customer experiences and operational efficiency.
