Criticism stings, especially when it comes from someone in power. Here's how I navigate it without letting my image take a hit: 1️⃣ Stay Calm: Reacting emotionally can tarnish your reputation. Take a deep breath. 2️⃣ Listen Actively: Feedback, even harsh, often has a nugget of truth. Seek it out. 3️⃣ Respond Professionally: Thank your supervisor for their perspective. This shows maturity. 4️⃣ Own It: Acknowledge mistakes, if any, and outline steps for improvement. 5️⃣ Reflect & Adapt: Criticism is a mirror; use it to fine-tune your skills. Your personal brand is built not in moments of praise, but in how you handle challenges. Stay composed, stay authentic. Tip: People remember your response, not the critique.

According to me getting harsh criticism or feedback from our supervisor is difficult to take up. Yes, it would certainly disturb or bother us but it's also needed for our next level growth. Only when we receive harsh opinions, we tend to think differently, upskill ourselves & bring in a new brand about ourselves. By taking it in a healthy way, we would move towards progressive direction. We have to keenly listen to those & if needed, we may have to take help from a coach or mentors to navigate us in the right direction.
