Além disso, normas são revisadas quase que anualmente, fora que existem normas ABNT/IEEE/IEC etc... Se manter atualizado é uma das mais difíceis tarefas hoje em dia. Algumas dicas são: mantenha contato com pessoas da área, especialistas; acompanhe algum grupo em rede social ou fórum de discussão, sobre normas técnicas; e realize cursos periodicamente para acompanhar as novidades.

Todos nós devemos ter ao menos 2 atividades na vida: uma para ganhar dinheiro, e outra para lazer. Ao se aposentar, sem dúvidas a quantidade de trabalho técnico reduz. Mas, para alguém que amou e ama seu trabalho, deve ser um mentor e incentivas as futuras gerações de projetistas de engenharia. Além disso, ainda poderá ser um consultor e realizar projetos esporadicamente.

It is hard to let go of something you love especially a profession you enjoyed doing for a long time. However, retirement doesn't mean you need to stop doing what you love. One can still practice the profession in a different environment like creating courses to help those who are just starting in the industry.

creo, por lo que me ha tocado vivir con compañeros que han pasado la etapa de jubilacio o retiro; que lo mas diificil es acostumbrarse al nuevo ritmo de vida, a tener mas tiempo para uno mismo, pero por sobre todo a superar ese pensamiento de que ya no son utiles. por eso, creo, es necesario abrir el conocimiento a otros horizontes y buscar las herramientas para mantenernos activos y poder brindar el conocimiento y experiencia adquirido

Staying connected with friends, family and former colleagues can help to develop more towards mental health. Try to keep your activities as like as you were working. This will keep your physical health at its best. Financial aspect is also important in this stage, you can review your pension funds, expenses and investments in a such way that you can enjoy your after-retirement life happily.

Quanto à aposentadoria, acredito que não é exatamente um obstáculo ou dificultador, pra se "dar asas à imaginação", pois o corpo pode até ter limites, mas não a mente!!

A minha dica é: sempre tenha boas amizades com pessoas de idades variadas. Sempre aprendemos, tanto com pessoas mais novas quanto pessoas de mais idade. Ninguém sabe tanto que não possa mais aprender, assim como ninguém sabe tão pouco a ponto de não poder ensinar nada a alguém. A vida consiste na troca de informações e na ajuda mútua entre as pessoas. Então, independente da sua idade e status atual, faça um ótimo networking, trate bem as pessoas, e você terá ajuda quando precisar.
