As an airport manager or boss one will have to be always ready for all kinds of misadventures. Therefore, rules/ SOPs has to be exhaustive, keeping in mind Murphy's law where one fails another will also fail subsequent may also fail. If rules are read like palm from both the sides by the staff in action then action will be at right time with right people at right place for right purpose. To achieve no error syndrome in case any mishappeing takes place at airport continuity classes, mock drills, practices must be done to prepare a professional airport staff. This is place of professionals.

Learning should never end be it from senior, subordinate/ junior, staff, colleague, present and most importantantly from the past, keeping in mind expected and unexpected changes in the future in airport environment. To learn, analysis of mistake or probability must be done thoroughly. The airport is an operational place, here margin of error is very less, so perfection is the requirement of that place. What can be done if one fighter aircraft landing had tyre burst, others are on marginal fuel after mission. The runway only one.The air traffic is so much. The moment it's seen from air traffic control tower, Crash Fire tenders which are available on immediate calls with crews were asked to follow fighter air craft. The pilot switched off air craft close to taxiway. When ensured no fire or probability of fire. Fire crews were immediately asked to push air craft off the runway. They did it. Runway was clear of obstruction. Fighter aircraft behind landed successfully without any much hassle. I did it.
