Great career comes from greater vision. When we are accurately self aware with respect to our skills, strengths vision formation becomes easier. Even in the absence, when vision is set first, strengths and skills build automatically due to the pulling power of vision. Set the vision, ball will roll itself as it can’t resist a compelling vision.

Start vision crafting from where you want to be, not where you think you should be. Begin by clarifying how you want to feel about your life and what would make success both significant and meaningful. Think about what experiences you want from your work and what you want others to gain from it. Commit yourself to being laser-focused on doing the things and and being present in ways that will lead to your desired legacy becoming reality. Use the information that you learn about yourself and what truly matters during this process of discovery to work backward, creating milestones and SMART goals with your legacy in mind, knowing that legacy is built moment by moment.

Siendo representante de la generación X, que es una generación de transición entre lo analógico y lo digital mi recomendación quizás poco convencional es que VUELVAN a lo presencial, tomen cursos presenciales, relaciónense hablando, tomando café, compartiendo círculos donde se puedan compartir experiencias, anótense en foros, cámaras de actividades que sean de su interés, donde la persona que los conoce allí, se va acordar cuando necesite un referente especialista porque se acuerda de su cara, gesto conversación que tuvo con Ud. ese día. La labor de Networking no termina el LinkedIn, allí es sólo el comienzo, usen el teléfono para hablar y llamar, no esperen a que los llamen, sean proactivos. Gracias!

Es indispensable mantenerse actualizado en lo nuevo, ya que las herramientas que utilices deben estar en línea y conversar en el mismo idioma que requiere las empresas y la sociedad actual. Sino pasas a ser como un mueble de exhibición de museo, y dejar de ser practico y funcional, suena un poco drástico, pero es indispensable estar informado en las nuevas tendencias.

When you have identified 3-4 goals you would like to pursue or ideas you want to put into practice, it is time to create an action plan. If you are stuck, make the plan as simple as possible. Thinking about the goals you want to achieve, the people you work with, and your projects and responsibilities, answer three questions. 1. What is one thing you can start doing differently based on your list? 2. What is one thing you can stop doing to be more effective? 3. What is one action or behavior you want to continue doing? Your answers to this simple start-stop-continue exercise will provide an action plan for moving forward. As you achieve success, celebrate your accomplishments and allow your plan to evolve, as you too change and grow.
