The attention of an audience might be the best critique - positive or negative. Is your audience locked in, leaning forward in their seats, giving unsolicited eye contact? Or has their Apple watch and checking emails under the table won the day (or at least the minutes you were speaking)? I'm reminded by a true story of a preacher who was working hard to hone his skills. Real progress was evident when an older man exiting the church door said, "I was with you all the way today."

On the other hand, if your ending was not great, share that too, because your recovery could also be a learning tool for someone else. The more you are yourself, the more your lecture, training, or event will be received, appreciated and remembered.
