Nosotros hemos trabajado con la logística "Just In Time" y tiene muchas más ventajas que inconvenientes. Las ventajas son que apenas se generan inventarios y no hay producto terminado almacenado que incrementa el valor añadido. El feed back con el cliente debe ser continuo y es básico estableciéndose schedules de producción semanales lo más ajustables posibles. Cuando exportas lo que produces debes tener en cuenta los envíos y el tramo donde esos envíos están viajando hacia el cliente. Los analistas de compra y venta establecían tres días flotantes donde los envíos viajaban. Y las desventajas pues quedarse cortos en los envíos dejando al cliente sin producto. Por eso el feedback es fundamental.

I my experience the most important tool for reducing waste is to train employees at all levels to SEE the waste hence non-value added activities. It doesn't require sophisticated tools in the first place to recognise over-production, over-processing, waiting, waste of transport, waste of motion etc. - providing insights and examples that are close to the working reality is easy and powerful

Design systems to prevent errors or defects from occurring, reducing rework and waste as error proof. Implementing these tools requires commitment and engagement from all levels of the organization to drive sustainable improvements in efficiency and productivity.

One of the most effective tools in my opinion is SIPOC. When used with the “Problem” or “Opportunity” statement ( yes those are other “tools”) you set the framework and get agreement on what you and the team will be focused on for the particular effort.
