You're going to be conducting a UX research interview. How can you make sure it's a success?

This process should be very strategic, ensuring that our findings are not only insightful but also influential in shaping organizational direction. When this happens I would say our interviews have been successful.

Even if someone passes you a project, YOU have to plan it. That doesn't mean you have to redo the project. It means you need to run through each question and understand why they exist. It's unethical to ask a user a question without using it for some purpose, so always know your 'why.' And make sure you can act on your findings. Being aware of your own biases can be tricky during research: you can't be too kind or too strict, no need to apply the Similar-to-me effect, stay professional but friendly. I think you can/should use those not just with UX Research but also in every phase of the design process.
