Continuous Professional Development demonstrates that you are up-to-date. Most roles require you to attend courses to learn or update skills, or attend refresher training. The thing is, we tend to forget the value of 1 day or 1 week courses, but they are super ways to get industry-specific keywords into your CV. Some professions require a LOT of training, so you might need to create a 'Training Highlights' section where the most important training is and you can create more of a training portfolio for your LinkedIn profile if you have a lot of certifications. I would always advise undertaking as much training as possible, especially if an employer is paying for it, but you should keep a record of everything you do!

I have rejected Marketing applicants for typos on their resumes. Maybe that's harsh, but to me, it's the same as a Sales candidate who doesn't ask questions or a Technical candidate who has trouble logging in to a Zoom interview.
