With COP29 Azerbaijan coming to a close and negotiators struggling to find common ground on #climatefinance, it was encouraging to hear about real progress from the Blue Zone Pavilions. #CACCI supported the NDC Partnership's session 'Ambition into Reality: Lessons on Delivering Climate Action.' ✔ The Government of Jamaica’s Lead Negotiator Omar Alcock spoke about the real impact of increasing climate risks and how that has catalyzed public and private sector action, including USAID/Jamaica's support for energy policy reforms, new climate legislation, and the stand up of a Blue-Green Facility at the Development Bank of Jamaica Limited. ✔ #CACCI’s Deputy Director John Heermans called out our support to actively mainstream and implement in a world where we are frequently guilty of being “policy champs and implementation chumps” ✔ The Government of Vietnam’s @Phan Thị Thu Thuỷ highlighted the new Decree on Direct Power Purchase Agreements (DPPA) that aims to transform Vietnam’s electricity sector and long-term energy security.
