ACCORDS investigators Larry Allen, MD, Russell Glasgow, PhD, Dissemination & Implementation Science Core Director, and Katy Trinkley, PharmD, PhD, Learning Health System Core Director, were among the co-authors of a recent JAMA publication that explores text messaging strategies to improve medication adherence for patients prescribed cardiovascular medications. ACCORDS investigator, Andrea Jimenez-Zambrano, PhD, MPH, uses qualitative and quantitative methods and extensive experience in community-based participatory research to study health disparities. “Growing up in Colorado, serving as a language broker for my family, and seeing the disparities, I’m trying now to have an impact not only on my family, but also on the community as a whole,” she says.
