Be the Best you can Be - and have a Blessed Christmas. Thanks to our Military around the world for sacrificing for all of us.
About us
About Adopt-a-Soldier Platoon Since April 2003, Adopt-a-Soldier Platoon (AaSP), a NJ all-volunteer 501 (c )(3) public charity, has been supporting our Troops overseas and at home. AaSP is a three-spoke charity: we send care packages to our Troops in harm’s way; provide Morale Welfare Recreation (MWR) military appreciation events; and the largest spoke -- we take care of America’s Wounded/Recovering Veterans through its Operation Wounded Care. Its program-to-revenue ratio has always been in the 95% range (and continues in 2017 with 95.1%) and when it comes to the Wounded Veterans, it is always 100%. No one takes any salaries and no one gets any special privileges. AaSP is approved by the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC #66968) and is the Official Care Package Arm of the Special Forces Charitable Trust. AaSP also supports Camp4Heroes, a sanctuary for Veterans, Police Officers, Fire Fighters and First Responders, in North Carolina. Website: https://aasp.vet.

This week several of our Adoptee units will receive LIVE Xmas trees, thanks to Dee's Nursery in Oceanside, NY, and DHL Express at JFK Airport in NYC. The two have paired up for 21 years, and DHL has shipped thousands of live trees (and ornaments, letters from local kids and Hannukah specialties) to our Troops in the Middle East, Southwest Asia and the Horn of Africa. Adopt-a-Soldier Platoon is fortunate to have worked with both organizations for 19 years and some of our units every year receive live trees. It was a great day yesterday. In addition to that, thanks to Lisa Fishel-Slater (She/Her/Hers) of The Hershey Company, we presented Kit Kat candy to some of the attendees. Hershey was generous and kind enough to donate lots of wonderful candy which were put in cartons for our Christmas Pack last week. We LOVE our partners and Benefactors!!!! Thanks everyone!!!

Christmas Pack 2024 was a four-day event. The first day, last week, sent specially set aside stuff for some of the units. On this past Monday, we did the Lara Spina Trustee's friends Xmas gifts where wrapped gifts went in boxes for Adoptees (names drawn random) and got shipped. Then Tuesday taking care of Adoptees who were on the way home and set up of the assembly line for Wednesday's pack. Then yesterday, we packed for all our Adoptees. We even managed to convince Santa to come by and he, being so Patriotic, agreed to do so and work with his "elves" to make our Troops' Christmas special. And lo and behold, we did it. All the boxes for our Adoptees are in the mail. Thanks to our fabulous Benefactors: Unilever; Inserra Supermarkets, Inc.; 4imprint; Goya Foods; Just Born, Inc.; The Hershey Company; Colavita USA; and BEST WAY TRUCKING SERVICE INC. Cigars from Avo and Richard. And thanks to the DAV Post in Bergenfield; Menasha Packaging; Unilever Legal Dept; and our other volunteers for helping make it such a success!

THIS IS WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO - no picture but sentiment is awesome! From the FRONT: 2 NOV from one of our Adoptee units in the Middle East - "Dear friends from Adopt-a-Soldier Platoon, On behalf of the Soldiers of (info redacted) Regiment, I would like to thank you for your overwhelming support. It is my sincere pleasure to express my appreciation for your contribution and for uplifting the spirits of this Battalion during our deployment to the Middle East. Your thoughtful care packages had a tremendous impact on morale and reassured every Soldier that they are remembered by great Americans back home. While we are excited to return home soon, it has been an honor to represent you, your fellow citizens and our great nation. Thank you again for your thoughtfulness, and I wish your organization and its members all the best. Sincerely Alex"

Adopt-a-Soldier Platoon shout out to Goya Foods and BEST WAY TRUCKING SERVICE INC for the restoration of supplies yesterday! More great GOYA foods for our Troops for our Christmas pack next week and our pro-bono trucker Best Way goes out of their way to be generous and patriotic and picks up/delivers the GOYA products to us from their Jersey City location. Thank you both!!! And "To the Platoon!" Going to be a great pack next week!!!

Christmas has already started at Adopt-a-Soldier Platoon! The beginnings of the big Christmas pack have begun. We have specific treats for certain locations and to make the big pack easier, we've decided to send these boxes before next Wednesday. We'll let it all be a surprise so we won't give out any info. Next week we have some more surprises and gifts so we're hoping we can get those out on Monday. Then set up on Tuesday and pack on Wednesday and continue to ship on Thursday for all those boxes that don't get sent on Wednesday. Tired just thinking about it, lol, but it's going to be a nice Xmas for our Troops abroad! "To the Platoon!" and thanks to our brave Men and Women who stand between us back home and danger. Bravo Zulu, OohRAH, HooRAH and BooYAH too!!!

As we get closer to our Christmas pack on 12/4, our Benefactors are coming through with great replenishment of our stores, which were just about gone after the Fall Pack. So, to have a great Christmas, we asked our Benefactors to bring it on! Here we have The Hershey Company'S Chocolate bars and KitKats (also on bottom of skid loaded with same); Just Born, Inc. Peeps; and Inserra Supermarkets, Inc. with great coffee, dried fruit, KIND bars and granola bars to name some of the great items they gave us. We're also waiting on Goya Foods; 4imprint has already given us great stuff as usual. It's gonna be a GREAT PACK!!! Happy TGiving and a very Merry Christmas to all our Adoptees! We're coming!!!! Do not fear - AaSP is HERE and will soon be THERE!!!!!

If you have any intelligence and respect for America PLEASE vote REPUBLICAN, thank you for keeping America FIRST!!
G O D S A V E A M E R I C A ! What else can we say? For those of us who LOVE our country we are disgusted with Democrats who believe in OPEN borders, criminal gangs and lawless violence in our cities. Bail Reform keeps violent offenders on the streets and our Police are disrespected. We want our country back! PLEASE P L E A S E Vote REPUBLICAN in ALL Federal Elections!
