  • On Tuesday, we celebrated the kickoff of our Epic Journey! Over 500 team members gathered at Adventist Health, joined by more than 1,200 employees tuning in from watch parties across our health system. Together, we heard inspiring messages from our leadership team, witnessed live Epic demonstrations, and counted down to kickoff in a burst of confetti and ringing bells. This event marks the beginning of an exciting chapter in our transformational journey as we transition to a new electronic health record system built on the Epic foundation. We’re thrilled to embark on this journey together!

  • With the advanced expertise of Desiree Sanchez, MD, and the revolutionary technology of Intuitive’s da Vinci 5 robotic surgical system (DV5), a patient with high-risk kidney cancer underwent a successful life-changing surgery at Adventist Health Simi Valley. The patient was able to go home just one day after surgery, and has recovered smoothly, demonstrating the remarkable impact of this groundbreaking innovation. “This was a significant outcome for a challenging case,” said Dr. Sanchez. “It’s moments like these that remind us why we do what we do.” Read more here: ahlink.org/4h1O9MT

  • Our team is made for more service. Nurses from Adventist Health Howard Memorial and Adventist Health Ukiah Valley are putting our value of Be a Force for Good into action by traveling from Northern California to assist their dedicated colleagues at Adventist Health Glendale in Southern California during the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles County. Thank you to each member of our team who is serving and standing with the people of Los Angeles County, including these compassionate nurses. Our gratitude also goes out to the incredible first responders helping to combat the fires and protect communities. #AdventistHealthHowardMemorial #AdventistHealthUkiahValley #AdventistHealthGlendale

My heart goes out to those impacted by the wildfires across L.A. County. I’m thankful that, at this time, our local hospitals remain open and fully operational, ready to provide care and support to those in need. I’m also deeply grateful for the bravery of firefighters on the scene and pray for them as they face another challenging day. I urge Adventist Health employees in the area to stay safe and reach out to our HR team with any and all concerns so we can support you during this challenging time. #calfire
