It’s important to support nonprofits
The Council on Foundations, Independent Sector, National Council of Nonprofits, and United Philanthropy Forum have issued a joint statement opposing Section 4 of H.R.9495 and its predecessor, H.R.6408 that would give the federal government unprecedented authority to label nonprofits as "terrorist-supporting organizations," without full disclosure of evidence or reasoning.

Thank you for your support, grace and kindness
Can we please stop with the, “I received the worst annual appeal" posts? No data is perfectly clean. And yes, I’ve gotten some appeals that were generic, called me E, and interestingly, even one that called me Manuel. But you know what? I gave anyway. I gave because I don’t need development directors to court me or for every solicitation to read like a note from my bestie. I give because I’m grateful for all the nonprofit folks working so hard on the frontlines to meet community needs. I love when LI is a forum for sharing tips, tricks, and best practices, but there’s a big difference between making recommendations for how nonprofits can increase donations vs. speaking contemptuously about nonprofits when they make mistakes on immaterial things. Many nonprofits are slogging through this “giving season” desperately trying to make revenue goals while juggling development team vacancies and imperfect systems. The needs are great, and these are challenging times. Let’s give grace, express gratitude, and give freely knowing we do so out of collective responsibility for addressing our society’s challenges.

Thank you Miami
We did it, Miami! We came together as a community and showed the world what a movement of generosity really looks like. Thanks to you, nonprofits received the resources and support they need to do their vital work. We couldn’t have done it without you, and we are so proud to call Miami home.💜 #GiveMiamiDay

Grateful for the support
I am excited to share that I am a proud member of the Youth Board for the Advocacy Network on Disabilities (TAND). With Give Miami Day just around the corner, we’re hosting a fundraiser to support TAND's incredible work in our community. As a group, we are aiming to raise $5,000, and I’ve set a personal goal to contribute $500 to this effort. Your support, whether through a donation or by sharing this post, would mean the world to me and to the countless individuals and families impacted by TAND’s mission. Every contribution makes a difference, no matter the size. Thank you so much for helping us create a more inclusive world! https://lnkd.in/gcjpb367

Consider supporting us or your favorite nonprofit on Give Miami Day
💡Author and podcast-host Case Kenny wants to give Miami hope and optimism for the future. Some of the issue areas that matter the most to him include mental health and wellness, which many of Give Miami Day’s participating nonprofits work to address in our community each day. By donating on Give Miami Day, or during Early Giving, you have the chance to make lasting impacts on the issue areas you care about most in Miami, just like Case. 💜 What will YOU give Miami? #GiveMiamiDay

Today we visited four families who are living in a great complex that include some low income housing units. This is a life changing experience for our families. Thanks to our community partners and Anay Abraham,Ed.D. for making the introduction that made this possible.United Way Miami The Children's Trust of Miami-Dade County The Miami Foundation
