AEQUOR, Inc. is on the Meet the Industry panel at the #Algae #Biomass Summit in Houston for Monday, 11/21/24 to present our 3-in-1 product that boosts #algae #biomass by 40% in half the time, cleans the system and protects the crop against predators -- extending harvest cycles and profitability. We won a $1.6M #DOE grant for demonstration of algae cultivation at outdoor industrial-scale as the most cost-effective #renewable #feedstock for #biofuel production that also sequesters more #CO2 from the air than any other land crop (300x more than a tree).

AEQUOR, Inc. is listening to the live stream of the United Nations #General Assembly (#UNGA) #High Level Meetings (#HLM) on #antimicrobial-#resistance (#AMR). Special kudos to Hon. Miss Mia Amor Mottley, S.C., M.P. and Chair of the #Global Leaders’ Group on AMR for her leadership on this important issue and call that this not be “another perfunctory debate.” AEQUOR, Inc. was an invited speak at the first #UNGA #HLM on #AMR in 2016. I spoke about #Biofilm, #One Health, #Stewardship, and #Access. Sadly, only #One Health has been acknowledged and somewhat moved forward, but note that it has been mainly focused on #AMR #viruses and funding for vaccines. This leaves behind support for the development of new #antibiotics and alternative treatments to combat #AMR #bacterial and #fungal #Superbugs and #biothreats (#anthrax, #plague, etc.) – all of which are #Biofilm-formers. #Biofilm is well researched for the past 30 years as the first and often only resistance response of bacteria and fungi – evolved over billions of years to grow thicker and faster to shield the microorganisms from all methods of physical removal,# sterilization, #sanitation, #disinfection, #antibiotics, #vaccines, plant/animal/human #immune responses, etc. Rapid #diagnostics cannot work in the presence of biofilm.
