Despite a late Thanksgiving shortening the shopping window, October brought good news for retailers. The CNBC/National Retail Federation Retail Monitor reports a 4.13% YoY spending jump, the strongest since Nov. 2023, with 0.74% MoM growth reversing September's dip. Key Highlights: 🧥 Clothing: 19-month streak of YoY growth (+8.56%), though slightly down MoM. 🏠 Durables: Spending rebounds (+1.87% YoY) 🍽️ Food: Restaurant (+2.07% YoY) and grocery (+3.76% YoY) spending continues to grow, despite food inflation.
