For 96 years, AGC NYS has delivered a variety of services and programs effectively organized to truly protect the interests of our members. Governed by a Board of Directors and supported by a complement of committees and task forces, our association is able to quickly adapt to meet the challenges confronting the entire membership and New York’s Construction Industry.

Name: Tammy McKay Title: Administrative Assistant, Southeast U.S. Regional Team My job description includes supporting crews during morning briefings, invoicing, time sheets, per diems, and various administrative tasks. What project are you most proud of? My work supporting our lineman crew has a huge impact on them so that they can go out and be more efficient. What do you love most about your job? I value the supportive and family-like environment at Haugland. Why should people consider being an Administrative Assistant in the construction industry? The strong connections with the crews and being their go-to person for support. What advice would you give to someone considering a career in construction? I would tell them do not think construction is outside of your wheelhouse, because if the opportunity presents itself, that they should take that leap because it can be the most rewarding, the most challenging, the most exciting and fulfilling type job that they've ever had.
