We're proud of the work we do with World Wildlife Fund on the Next California project, and this article is an excellent look at both the opportunities and roadblocks that Delta farmers face in the speciality crop market. “If we took 5 percent of the acres and diverted them into almost anything that wasn’t a commodity, it’s literally an additional $2.5 billion in revenue, just at the farm gate,” said Pete Nelson, president and founder of AgLaunch, a Memphis farmers’ collective and ag-tech accelerator that is partnering with WWF. We love seeing positive feedback from our Farm Trial participants!

The AgLaunch Farm Team has been busy this harvest season! Several AgLaunch Farmers participated in farm trials for our portfolio company, EVOIA ,which produces a proprietary seed treatment for row crops that increases seedling root and shoot growth, improves seedling vigor, and enhances the ability of the seedling to tolerate abiotic stress. We had members of our team on the farms of both the Bland Family during wheat harvest in MS and Mid-South Family Farms in Ripley, Tennessee during cotton harvest to lend a hand to our farmers and also ensure that EVOIA got clean data from their farm trial. We love being of service to both our farmers and startups!
