About us
AI Matters aims to boost the uptake of AI in the European Manufacturing industries and brings together a consortium of major organisations from eight European countries (Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, The Netherlands, and Spain) to create a world-class reference network of testing and experimentation facilities for manufacturing. AI Matters’ overarching objective is to strengthen Europe’s positioning and leadership in the uptake Artificial Intelligence systems. By bringing robotics and other advanced technologies to real-world environments, and at scale, the consortium aims to create leap transformations of the EU manufacturing system. The project, with a total budget of 60M€, is co-funded by the European Commission under the Digital Europe Program and will be operational in 2024.

𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 #𝟴: Laboratory for Manufacturing Systems and Automation The Greek satellite is established at the Laboratory for Manufacturing Systems and Automation (LMS), at the University of Patras. LMS is oriented on research and development in cutting edge scientific and technological fields and is involved in a number of research projects funded by the CEU and European industrial partners. Particular emphasis is given to the co-operation with the European industry as well as with a number of "hi-tech" firms. The Geek satellite’s mission is to introduce and facilitate the uptake of pioneering technologies in manufacturing, enhancing the products and operations of SMEs and large corporations. Depending on the precision, speed and robustness required in the application (palletising, Bin Picking, kitting, transfer of goods, etc.), different equipment is available for testing and studying the viability of the technology. 🤖 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗺𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗼𝘁𝘀 In internal logistics applications, the incorporation of autonomous robotic systems based on mobile platforms for the transport of different loads.
