Aid the Silent is committed to advocating and supporting the deaf and hard-of-hearing community

About us

Aid the Silent is a Texas-based nonprofit that helps deaf and hard-of-hearing children and teens receive equal access to opportunity by providing financial assistance to enhance communication methods; gain access to education resources; and to improve their overall health, both mental and physical, that leads to individual growth socially, educationally and spiritually. Aid the Silent strives for equality for the deaf community. Our Mission We raise the necessary funds to provide HOH/deaf children/teens the tools and resources to help them find personal success. Whether that be through resources such as FM systems or hearing aids, through resources such as speech therapy or learning ASL, or through learning about Jesus through Deaf Young Life events and camps. Through our social outings and fundraisers, we have raised funds for our mission, but also brought the community together. Every event we are a part of is fully deaf and hard-of-hearing accessible with live captioning and interpreters. Through our partnerships with industry professionals, ministry leaders, educators and the hearing loss community we have been able to bring about change in an unprecedented way. We provide 6 areas of resources: Hearing aids | FM systems | ASL lessons (family or individual) Speech therapy | Deaf Young Life | Registration for Christian-based summer camps We support the ENTIRE HOH/deaf community. We support #deafunity. Together—as one—we are a much stronger voice! Why We Do It We believe it is crucial to be able to communicate, whether by speech or ASL. Since its inception, we have had amazing opportunities to hear heartfelt stories. We have been given the tools to be an advocate for this unheard group of people. Aid the Silent advocates for the entire deaf and hard-of-hearing community both on a local and national level. We believe every person deserves an equal opportunity at success and we strive to bring awareness their needs.

We do phenomenal work at Aid the Silent. Remember when I asked for private donations for El Paso? We already funded and provided state of the art life changing hearing healthcare and hearing aids to 6 children and counting. These children have been overlooked and were struggling without personal hearing aids. We move fast for our children with hearing loss. By funding Aid the Silent, you will see the direct impact on communities. Our team and our medical partners do not mess around. In partnership with El Paso ISD and clearance from the Children’s hospital in El Paso. To make radical, life changing differences go to https://lnkd.in/gGJsXEAd

Celebrating 10 YEARS of Aid the Silent February 8th, 2025 at the Witte Museum! Join me to support deaf children, teenagers, their families and educators of the deaf. Tables and sponsorships are now open at https://lnkd.in/ejYuz7AZ My personal goal is raise 10 $10,000 corporate partnerships for the event (I have 2 thus far) so we can focus more time on the mission and kids and less on filling up the space with auctions. Reach out to me directly at emmafaye@aidthesilent.org or purchase online. These sponsors will receive a personal collab with my social media accounts which has a reach of over 21.7K followers (a reach of 327.7K views in single month) as well with Aid the Silent accounts.

If anyone has particular philanthropic passion for El Paso, our team is a hosting a medical clinic for hearing aids to be distributed to children in need. We have all the volunteer doctors and audiologists locally in place for amazing care and follow up care. We are looking for key supporters for 15 children's hearing aids. $2,500 covers one child's life changing hearing technology at our negotiated rates. (On average $5,000-$9,000 for the general market) Connect with me directly at emmafaye@aidthesilent.org

Aid The Silent is thrilled to announce a generous donation from Boerne100! Last night, the ATS family received $10,000 to support our mission of providing resources and accessibility to deaf and hard of hearing teens and youth. This specific grant will be used for accessibility services for our youth summer camps and resources for Deaf Educators. We are incredibly thankful for this amazing gift. 💖 Boerne100, founded to connect men dedicated to service and making a real difference in the local community, works together to provide meaningful impact on non-profit organizations. With this contribution, we can take our deaf teachers and instructors to a much-needed conference to learn how to best support the kids in their classrooms each year. Thank you once again for this wonderful support!🤟 #AidTheSilent #BoerneTx #Boerne #LeonSprings #Texas #deaf #hardofhearing #deafkids #deafteens #deafcommunity #nonprofit #deafculture #deafworld #deafawerness #BoerneTexas #FairOaksRanch
