On #SparkingChangeTogether, AIDPH reached nearly 50% of our fundraising goal — but oral health advocates and allies can still support AIDPH's mission by donating next #GivingTuesday on December 3, 2024. By making a $20 monthly recurring donation or a one-time donation of $50 or more, you'll help support our mission of advocating for oral health justice for veterans, rural communities, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and people with disabilities. We invite you to share within your network and donate via the following link: https://lnkd.in/dFehrpxW

Now is not the time for silence. Transgender people are our friends, our familiy members, our neighbors, and our community — and threats of violence, murder, and suicide against the transgender community are only expected to rise in a country that has increasingly subjected them to openly hostile policies and rhetoric. It's the responsibility of public health workers and organizations to take a clear stand: that a patient's safety and dignity, no matter their gender identity, is never conditional. As a nonprofit dedicated to improving LGBTQIA+ oral health access, AIDPH recognizes everyone we've lost to transphobic violence, and urges our allies and partners to do the same. https://loom.ly/wPd6rN4 #transdayofremembrance #transgender #trans

Major news in dentistry! The The Elizabeth Dole 21st Century Veterans Healthcare Benefits and Improvement Act passed today with overwhelming bipartisan support. The bill is set to significantly expand dental access for veterans, including dental care. We're happy Congress is taking the issue of veteran oral health seriously, and look forward to seeing the role the Elizabeth Dole Act will play in improving lives.
