a2 Collective #awardee New York University Rory Meyers College of Nursing is leading an innovative project to support caregivers of Alzheimer's and dementia patients with a smartphone app that utilizes heuristic AI to prioritize non-pharmacologic interventions. Led by Ab Brody, PhD, RN, FAAN, this #cohort3 project aims to enhance caregiving strategies by offering tailored decision support and treatment options to caregivers. With a focus on #Cognition, treatment, and care, this project uses #HeuristicAI to create a personalized support tool that empowers caregivers in managing Alzheimer's disease and related dementias (#ADRD). Partnering with #PennAITech, this initiative demonstrates the potential of AI-driven solutions to transform the caregiving experience for families and healthcare providers alike. We have kicked off the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing Summer Innovation Institute with ~75 individual innovators, nurses, engineers, entrepreneurs and more from around the country. It is going to be a week long program of fun and learning! Nurse Innovation Fellowship by Johnson & Johnson powered by Penn Nursing and The Wharton School, Eidos LGBTQ+ Health Initiative and The Penn AI and Tech Collaboratory for Healthy Aging.

This morning we unveiled our new Dementia Care Provider Guide on our #NPHI24 Summit Stage in front of hundreds of hospice and palliative care leaders from around the nation. The guide was produced in collaboration with Aliviado Health and Center to Advance Palliative Care (CAPC), with the collective input of 100+ not-for-profit hospice, palliative care, and advanced illness care organizations. It will be immediately integrated into our member's practices to enhance the quality of care for dementia patients nationwide. NPHI’s new Provider Guide is part of a comprehensive collection alongside its Patient and Caregiver counterpart that tackles the challenges encountered by patients with dementia.  A special thank you to the team for presenting the guide on our Summit stage: Our Chief Innovation Officer, J.
