    What does customer success look like with AI in the fray? The core mandate of the function is still the same — making sure your customers are getting the most out of the tool. That being said, the way customer success teams approach their work will start to change (smaller teams serving a wider range of customers). Last week, Akilesh and Swathi, two veterans from our stellar post-sales team spoke about the ever-evolving nature of post-sales operations at the Customer Success Summit at Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.     This past weekend, I had the incredible opportunity to speak at the 𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 at Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, hosted by the Allin1Place! Standing in a room full of passionate CS professionals, leaders, and aspiring talent reminded me why I love this field—because at its core, Customer Success is about 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲, 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲. My session focused on 𝗥𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻—a topic many companies often struggle to navigate effectively. While acquiring new customers is always a priority, the real growth lever lies in 𝗺𝗮𝘅𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝗹𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲. Some key takeaways from my talk: 📌 𝗥𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗲𝘁, 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮 𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰. Every interaction should reinforce value, not just at renewal time. 📌 𝗥𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗹𝗮𝗴𝘀 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁. Budget shifts, disengagement, or a change in POCs—spotting them early makes all the difference. 📌 𝗧𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗦𝗠𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗦 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀. Marrying Human + AI creates ‘superhuman’ outcomes, where automation enhances, not replaces, the human touch. 📌 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲𝘀. Decision-makers move on, but strong relationships keep accounts stable. 📌 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗼𝘀. When customers see continuous value, they don’t just stay—they expand. What truly stood out to me was the depth of conversations and the incredible passion everyone brought to the room.     Last week, I had the privilege of attending the Customer Success Summit hosted by Allin1Place at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi It was my first summit and also the first time I got to meet Sumeet Patil, the founder of Arvat AI, in-person. A big shoutout to Bhavika Kochhar and her team—you guys are rockstars! I’ll be honest, being a college student surrounded by industry juggernauts had me feeling a bit anxious. But, everyone was incredibly kind and approachable. I learned a lot about the nuances of Customer Success and how dynamic and ever-evolving the role is. One insight that really resonated with me was during a panel discussion where Pramod Mishra and Bhavika Kochhar emphasized how being authentic and working at a company aligned with our values is the best approach in the long run. Desperation can be an enemy of authenticity We received invaluable feedback for Arvat AI, and I could sense a strong undercurrent in conversations about the desire to see Indian companies take center stage in AI applications. This aligns perfectly with Sumeet Patil's vision to build and help Indian startups that compete globally.
