ALLVAR (College Station, TX) is a manufacturer of revolutionary metal alloys designed to help eliminate the detrimental effects thermal expansion has in a variety of applications. We have applications in space, optics, defense and scientific instruments, where repeated heating and cooling cycles can disrupt the precision or alignment of the instrument. Our alloys have received SBIR grants, allowing us to showcase the long-term effects of Negative Coefficient Thermal Expansion. Currently, we are able to offer our Negative Expansion Alloys in Bar (up to 2.25” round) and tube (up to 3.00” OD) depending on wall thickness. We also offer athermal washers and spacers that can prevent the loosening of mounts and hoses over time when installed in harsh ranging temperature environments.
