However, there is significant room for improvement in scaling up operations responsibly, expanding employment opportunities and adopting advanced, environmentally friendly techniques. By aligning more closely with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, such as SDGs 2, 6, 8, 12 and 14, Italy could improve the sustainability and economic impact of its aquaculture industry.
