Through story, we can encounter core truths and find new understanding of both the stories, the world, and ourselves. We can find new ways of seeing and understanding old stories or find inspiration in a modern tale. Every Month, the spectacular Kathryn Abbott hosts a Story Circle. It's a one-hour online circle where you'll listen to a story drawn from old and new childhood favorites from across time and around the world, and reflect on and engage more deeply with the messages these stories can offer each of us through exploratory art and conversation. This month Kathryn will share a story that comes from the indigenous people of the Pacific Northwest. Raven, a clever and determined fellow wants to give a gift to the people of earth - the gift of light. At the time of year when many faiths and traditions celebrate light, this story invites us to consider gifts of light - where and in whom they may be found.
